Wynnewood Seminary Reaccredited For 8 More Years
The Main Line seminary was accredited to turn young men into priests for another eight years.
WYNNEWOOD, PA — Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood recently was reaccredited for another eight years, according to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education confirmed the accreditation for an additional eight years.
This accreditation decision comes in addition to the February 2018 accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools.

The Middle States accreditation is the result of an exhaustive self-study, prepared by members of the Seminary’s administration, faculty and staff, and a comprehensive visit by the accreditation team.
“I want to express my gratitude to our internal team which worked very hard to prepare our self-study report and to coordinate the visit of the accreditation team,” said Bishop Timothy C. Senior, Rector of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia. “I am also grateful to several members of our board, and many seminarians and friends who also participated in the study.”

“This accreditation is a powerful statement about the quality of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary’s program, the excellence of its faculty, as well as the overall management of the seminary by its administrative staff, “Senior said.
Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary was founded in 1832 and has been forming men for priestly service in the Catholic Church for more than 180 years.
