Wynnewood youth to perform in "The Wizard Of Oz"

Noah Banner of Lower Merion/Wynnewood welcomes to you Munchkinland at Walnut Street Theatre.

This holiday season, young talent from Wynnewood will take the stage at Philadelphia’s most popular theatre company. Walnut Street Theatre’s production of the all-time classic musical, The Wizard Of Oz, celebrated its opening earlier this month and continues through January 8th.

Ready to welcome you to Munchkinland, Actor Noah Banner, a 5th grader at Merion Elementary School, plays a member of the Lollipop Guild in the production.

Mitchell-Penner, along with his 29 Munchkin cast-mates, are all members of The Theatre School at Walnut Street Theatre.

On stage, The Wizard Of Oz features all of the Oscar-winning songs from the movie including "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "We're Off To See The Wizard," all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way.
