After Main Line Title, Narberth American Legion Team Misses States
The local squad lost 13-0 and 12-6 at the Pennsylvania Region 3 tournament.
Main Line Senior Legion baseball champion Narberth Post 356 lost 12-6 to Olney on Sunday, eliminating them from the Pennsylvania Region Three tournament at Owen J. Roberts High School.
Following a 13-0 opening loss to host team and Chester County champion Norchester, Narberth got out of the gate quickly against Olney with six runs in the first two innings.
Four runs came in the opening frame on five consecutive base hits. Pete Siciliano raked a double off the wall before singles off the bats of Danny Moyer, Ned Miller, Justin Shapiro and Matt Wasson.

Olney pulled within two at 6-4 in the third inning before Olney shortstop Nathaniel Coronado helped his brother Nelson Coronado, the pitcher, by crushing a three-run home run to open the floodgates. Olney scored eight runs in the span of three innings to post a 12-6 come-from-behind win.
“We have a great group of kids that are still taking all of this in," Narberth manager Jim Brown said. "Just to get to a regional is a great accomplishment. When you play on a stage like this, you really get an idea of how committed some of these kids are to their baseball programs.”
