Another Successful Showing for Waldron Mercy Forensics
Waldron Mercy Academy forensics team brought home several prizes from a recent tournament.

Waldron Mercy Academy has a strong tradition of Forensics in Middle School. Each year, students in grades seven and eight spend hours after school memorizing speeches, perfecting articulation and preparing for several competitions throughout the school year. This years Forensics season started off with a bang for WMA students at the St. Joseph's Prep tournament with placements in a multitude of categories. We want to especially congratulate the WMA students who placed in their individual events: Ashleigh Marmer who placed 5th in Dramatic Performance, Caleigh Grimes and Sophia Hoey placed 5th in Duo Interpretation, Maeve Pinheiro placed 1st in Extemporaneous Speaking, Meg Lourie placed 2nd in Impromptu Speaking, Christina Schwab placed 1st in Impromptu Speaking, Maya Murray placed 5th in Oral interpretation of Poetry, Jessica Link placed 6th in Oral Interpretation of Prose, Elaina Sthulman Placed 4th in Oral Interpretation of Prose, Isabel Dougherty placed 5th in original oratory, Christiana Giangiordano placed 4th in Original Oratory, Vince Vento placed 3rd in Original Oratory, Nile Andah placed 7th in Student Congress, Jimmy King placed 6th in Student Congress, Agustin Aliaga placed 5th in Student Congress and Luke Shafer placed 4th in Student Congress. And congratulations are in order for all of the students who participated in the tournament and helped secure the second place trophy for the overall team: Dylan Lourie, Nina Gilbert, Isabella Monroy, Moira Arechavala, Katie Dewey, Tim McClure, Maggie Carr, Patrick Lamb, Tess Szathmary, Anita Raj.
