Film Club: Monday Movie Matinee: Beginning at Noon, join film enthusiast Carol Shakow and New Horizons each month at Ashbridge House for a fun viewing of a 2-Hour movie. Topics will range from Drama to Comedy to Romance...and everything in between.
“Norma Rae": Monday, July 20 at 12:00 PM, IN PERSON ONLY at Ashbridge House in Bryn Mawr: In 1978, a widowed textile worker works with a traveling Union organizer to convince her fellow workers to join the Textile Workers Union of America. As the attempt to unionize her coworkers heats up, Norma Rae finds herself risking her job, her family, and even her freedom in the war to gain a better life for everyone who works at the mill.
