Narberth Food Bank Being Evicted: Report
The food bank reportedly has a $23,000 debt from unpaid rent to Narberth Borough and must be out by May 31.

NARBERTH, PA – The Narberth Community Food Bank is on its way out as borough officials are evicting the organization form the former Narberth School Building and borough officials are looking to find a way to sill help needy families.
According to Main Line Media News, borough officials gave the OK for the solicitor to tell the organization it must be out of the Sabine Avenue building by the end of May.
Borough officials made the call after the food bank defaulted on its lease in the borough-owned building.

The outlet reports the food bank did not pay rent for nine months, accruing a $23,000 debt.
In March, the Pennsylvania Department of State included the food bank among its list of charitable organizations that got cease and desist notices.

The sanction ordered the foo bank to not solicit donations or conduct fundraising activities until they have come into compliance with the Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act.
Mayor Tom Grady told Main Line Media News that after May 31, the borough will have set up locations for need families to still get assistance.
