New Horizons and Lankenau Medical Center Celebrated Active Aging Week this Weds. 9/25 with a Free Movie Screening at Narberth Theatre
New Horizons Senior Center and Lankenau Medical Center hosted a Free Community Event for more than 35 people this past Wednesday, September 25, as part of national Active Aging Week. The event took place at Narberth Movie Theatre, and included a free screening of the award-winning documentary, ‘Age of Champions,’ a charming film about the Senior Olympics. In addition to the film screening, Theresa Bogue, Joint Replacement Manager for Lankenau Medical Center, discussed the importance of remaining active as we age, and gave advice and information on how to do so.
“The film was really inspiring,” said Elsie Collier, New Horizons Board Member and Volunteer. “Everyone loved it!”

“We’re so grateful to Lankenau for sponsoring this event. The film is really enlightening, and I think everyone who attended left feeling excited about life. That’s really what we hoped to achieve. We were also able to let the community know about the myriad of health, wellness, and nutrition courses we offer for free or low-cost, here at the Center,” said New Horizons Assistant Director, Shannon McMahon.
