Purse Thief Used Stolen Card For Cigarettes: Lower Merion Police

The suspect got into the victim's car and stole her purse and its contents outside a Bala Cynwyd fitness center.

BALA CYNWYD, PA – A woman's debit card was used to buy cigarettes after her purse and its contents were stolen from her vehicle at a fitness center in Bala Cynwyd, Lower Merion Township Police said.

According to police, a woman reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle that was parked at LA Fitness, recently.

Police said the victim's debit card was later used at the Bala Cynwyd 7-Eleven to buy Newport cigarettes.

The suspect is described as a medium skinned black male between 20 and 30 years old with a light bear, black hair and was about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray T-shirt with a black "4" on the left chest, black shorts with red accents, and black socks and sneakers, police said.

He was seen driving into the parking lot in a black sedan with metal wheels that police may believe is a Nissan Maxima.
