West Laurel Hill welcomes Author Letty Cottin Pogrebin

West Laurel Hill Cemetery will welcome author Letty Cottin Pogrebin for the Fall Seminar on Monday, November 4. Letty, a writer, author and a founding editor of Ms. Magazine, recently went through breast cancer and wrote about her experiences in the book, “How To Be A Friend To A Friend Who’s Sick.” Through a collection of real life stories from fellow patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, others who have gone through serious illnesses, and her own personal experiences with breast cancer, her talk will discuss how to best support the people in your lives who are going through their own health issues.  Joining Letty in the discussion will be Bonnie J. Koletas RN, Marketing Liason from Hospice of Philadelphia.  Bonnie will give an overview on what hospice care is, why people enter hospice, and how to treat family and friends who are in hospice care.  The event will finish off with a Q&A session.

Event begins at 9am at Bringhurst Funeral Home. You can still RSVP to the event - contact us at events@forever-care.com or 610-668-9900!
