1st Anniversary Celebration at Upper Room Worship

Modern Worship Service in Pittsburgh celebrates its birthday on February 8th

IT’S OUR BIRTHDAY!

It’s hard to believe, but TODAY is the anniversary of our first worship celebration together as Upper Room Worship.

It’s been a great year, with many blessings flowing down from heaven. There’s been great music, great preaching, and plenty of moments when the presence of the Holy Spirit was felt by all. We have been greatly blessed by the contributions of many talented young musicians, and the inspired teaching of several anointed men of God, including Wayne Rossiter, John Scott, Ken Beckett, Peter Kusko, John Stepoli, Bobby Baker, Floyd Hughes, Mel Hileman, Joey Benami, Mark Lazzaro, Jim Brown, and Ron LaGorga.

God has provided the momentum, and we are excited as we enter our second year as a ministry, starting with a very special anniversary worship celebration on Sunday, February 8th at 6:00 p.m… It is our hope and prayer that you will thoughtfully consider joining us for this momentous occasion, and add your voice to the praises on a night to remember.

We’ve decided to go back to “square one” for this special night, and we are looking forward to a timely and important message from Rev. Peter Kusko, a Pentecostal Church of God evangelist from West Mifflin. Pete was the first man to speak at Upper Room Worship one year ago on a very cold and snowy morning that was full of uncertainty, and full of hope for something new and better, something fresh and young. 365 days ago, we set out on a mission to start a ministry where we could feel the freedom to worship in Spirit and in truth, and that remains our goal to this day.

THEN, on Friday, February 13th, we’re hosting a Christian rock concert featuring a terrific band from Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Fight The Fade” will be appearing on our stage, along with “Sink In,” a great young band out of Hershey, Pennsylvania. Doors will open at 6:00, and the concert will begin at 7:00. There is no admission, but a donation for these touring bands will be greatly appreciated.

Our location has not changed. We have been blessed with a comfortable, convenient, and affordable place to worship together at 1462 Brookline Boulevard, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15226.
