Maybe you would like to use your expertise in science to offer a camp where students become detectives like in CSI or wizards like Harry Potter. Chemists can teach students how to make their own ice cream, solar-powered cookers, or sugar crystal decorations. Perhaps your culinary skills can be used to lead a camp like Chopped Junior or a Kids Baking Championship, or your inner rock star can shine when you put together your very own School of Rock! Maybe you're an entrepreneur and you want to host your own Shark Tank to inspire the imaginations of future inventors? Maybe you're a YouTube mechanic or a weekend home improvement warrior-why not teach students how to build something or create something that will benefit our communities?
It's hard to believe but we are now approaching our 6th summer offering programming for our students over the course of the summer. We took last year off, but the prior year was our most successful to date-we offered 22 different camps for students and we had almost 400 students participate!
