NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of School Directors of the Baldwin-Whitehall School District shall conduct a public hearing under Section 780 of the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, 24 P.S. § 7-780, to receive public comment on the proposed closing of the W.R. Paynter Elementary School. The hearing will be held on February 12, 2020, commencing at 8:00 p.m., prevailing time, in the Large Group Instruction Room (LGI) of the Baldwin High School located at 4653 Clairton Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, parking in the South Parking Lot. Anyone wishing to participate may register with Theanita Hampsay, Secretary of the Board of School Directors, thampsay@bwschools.net /412-884-6300 x. 7241 by 12:00 Noon on February 12, 2020, or you may sign up to speak when you enter the meeting. Anyone who has not signed up in advance will be permitted to speak only after all those who have registered have had the opportunity to speak. Each speaker will be given a maximum of three minutes for comment. Individuals wishing to present written comments may present them at the hearing. The hearing will be stenographically reported and any written comment shall be included in the transcript of the proceedings. At a legislative meeting occurring at least three months following the public hearing, the Board of School Directors will vote on whether to close the W.R. Paynter Elementary School.
