Baldwin High School To Debut New Student-Run Cafe

The venture will be a jiont efforts between students with and without disabilities.

BALDWIN, PA - Baldwin High School is poised to debut a new student-run cafe. The as-yet unnamed eatery will be an expansion of its Partners program bringing together the business, family-consumer sciences and gifted programs. The Partners models pairs students with and without disabilities in joint ventures.

The cafe will be located in room 237 previously occupied by the school paper, the Purbalite. A contest is underway to determine the name and a logo design contest will be held this month, following a taste-testing of possible snacks and beverages to be served.

Plans are for the cafe to be a breakfast option for students unable to stop for the meal on their way to school. The cafe should be fully operational when school resumes in August.
