BALDWIN, PA - It’s almost time for Baldwin High School’s annual spring musical, which this year features a cast of more than 60 students performing the classic Broadway hit “Mame.”

Directed by Jason Coll, who has worked with many of the students since they were freshmen, the cast includes Morgan Traud as Mame, Alexa Trimbur as Vera, Sarah Doran as Agnes Gooch, Liam Coll as the young Patrick and Chris Storms as older Patrick.

The musical follows eccentric socialite Mame Dennis whose life of leisure and luxury is interrupted when her brother dies and her young nephew Patrick comes to live with her. Mame must learn how to be a parent and the play traces her attempts with warmth and humor.

Coll said in a district release that the relationship between Mame and Patrick is at the heart of the story.

“She saves him and he saves her, too,” he said. “He grounds her.”
