Baldwin Man Charged With Sex Act Against Teen At Kennywood

The alleged incident happened in line at the Log Jammer in July, police said.

BALDWIN, PA - A Baldwin man has been arrested in connection with the indecent assault of a 13-year-old girl at Kennywood in July.

James Wright, 39, of Baldwin Borough, was arraigned Thursday by District Judge Richard Olasz and released on bail. According to online court records, he is charged with two counts each of stalking, indecent assault, indecent exposure, unlawful contact with a minor and invasion of privacy, and also with one count each of corruption of minors, open lewdness and harassment.

The criminal complaint stated Wright approached the 13-year old girl and her 12-year-old friend while they were in line at the Log Jammer. According to police, he exposed himself and had inappropriate contact with the teen before leaving the line.

Wright was arrested after investigators released Kennywood surveillance video and received multiple tips from the public that he was the suspect they sought, West Mifflin police said.

Wright faces a preliminary hearing on the charges on Oct. 26.
