Baldwin Public Library Closing For Big Move
The library will reopen in its new home in Leland Center in March.

BALDWIN, PA - The Baldwin Public Library will close at the end of the day Friday in anticipation of its move to the Leland Center building. The library is expected to reopen in its new facilities in March.
Here’s what you need to know about the closure:
- After Feb. 1 at 5 p.m. no items can be returned to the library dropbox. Items can be returned to any other library in Allegheny County.
- The library will not have phone service during the transition period. Check the website and social media pages for information on the reopening or email questions to baldwin@einetwork.net
- The library will not offer AARP Tax Assistance this year, but assistance is available at many other area libraries and other locations. Check out the full list.
- Although nearly $2 million has been raised for the new library, the $2.1 million fundraising effort remains about $176,000 short of the goal.
Contributions are welcome to help lower the library’s borrowing costs to pay for the project. The Buy-A- Brick program has resumed and sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are available for both individuals and businesses.
