Baldwin Readies For Community Day Celebration

Food trucks are replacing food booths at this year's event.

BALDWIN, PA - You won’t see any food booths at the borough’s annual Community Day on Saturday, but that hardly means you have to go hungry. A variety of food trucks will be on hand for this year’s festivities, which begin at 4 p.m. in the parking lot and fields behind the borough building.

Among the food trucks that will be on hand:

  • Cruizin Cuisine
  • Curly’s Tin Rizzi Ice Cream
  • Kona Ice
  • Oakmont Barbeque
  • The Cook Chicken and Waffles
  • The Hala Truck
  • Vagabond Taco Truck
  • Our Little Secret Cafe

Activities at the event will include racing, clowns, a dunk tank, inflatables, softball inflatable pony races and a disc jockey. Fireworks will begin around 9:30 p.m. Community organizations that will be represented include Baldwin Library, Baldwin Tennis, Baldwin Lacrosse, Baldwin Highlander Marching Band, Baldwin EMS, Baldwin Football, Baldwin Softball, Baldwin Kiwanis Club, Baldwin Historical Society, Baldwin Boy Scouts, Baldwin Firemen and Good Shepherd Christian Preschool.

Because of limited parking, shuttle service will be provided from Paynter Elementary School from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The Baldwin Community Food Bank will accept any nonperishable food donations.
