Baldwin Shooting Death: Lawsuit Alleges Negligence
James Hines was gunned down outside of his workplace in December. His mother filed the wrongful death lawsuit Wednesday.

BALDWIN, PA - The family of a man allegedly shot to death by a co-worker outside the personal care home where both men worked has filed a lawsuit against the victim’s employer and two other employees.
Linda Kulikowski, the mother of of James Hines Jr., was filed in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. It alleges Community options Inc. failed to complete a background check on defendant James D. King or ignored his history of arrest for violent crimes.
Also named in the lawsuit were Community Options supervisors Lisa Barnes and Ashley Weaver.

King, 33, of the North Side resident, allegedly gunned down Hines, 21, of Clairton, on Dec. 31. King has been charged with criminal homicide, recklessly endangering another person, tampering with evidence and a firearms violation.
