Baldwin-Whitehall Launches Drug And Alcohol Task Force
With the assistance of law enforcement and EMS personnel and others, the district is ramping up its drug prevention efforts.

BALDWIN, PA - The Baldwin-Whitehall School District has declared war on the opioid epidemic.
To help combat the stigma of addiction and help those in the community with drug problems return to leading productive lives, the district has launched a Drug and Alcohol Task Force.
The panel will consisting of district personnel, Baldwin and Whitehall borough police and EMS, the Medical Rescue Team South Authority, staff members of state representatives Bill Kortz and Harry Readshaw and other community officials. The district will kick off the drug prevention initiative in October with a series of programs for students, staff, parents and the community.
In addition to those programs, the task force will:

- Evaluate the district’s drug and violence prevention program and review its health, education, early intervention, referral monitoring and rehabilitation activities.
- Implement strategies to to integrate family services from multiple providers.
- Provide professional training and development for district employees, parents and residents.
