Good Evening,

McAnnulty School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 8, 2021, due to COVID reasons. All other schools in the district will operate as previously scheduled for the day.
The District received notice this evening of two confirmed student cases, in addition to one staff case from earlier this week. While the cases are not related to each other, they must be viewed in cumulative fashion within a 14 day period - thus forcing the requirement per the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Health to close the building for a period of 3 to 5 days, or at least long enough to complete cleaning, contact tracing, and communication protocols. We expect to complete these tasks tomorrow and throughout the weekend. McAnnulty will reopen for children on Monday, January 11th.

All McAnnulty children will participate in the remote learning model for tomorrow following the standard time schedule
For faculty and staff, the following shall be in place:
- All educational staff and faculty will report to the building, including teachers and paraprofessionals
- Service employees groups of custodians and secretaries shall report as normal
- Service employee groups of noontime aides and breakfast monitors are not to report to work
- Transportation employees that have a McAnnulty bus run should await direction from the bus garage, however, transportation to the other schools will still be needed
- Food service employees shall receive further direction from Mrs. Weber.
While I apologize for the late notice of this message, the District is following the guidance of PDE and what we committed to in the Attestation Process in order to have children participate in in-person learning.
Sincerely
Randal A. Lutz
