Baldwin's New Public Library: What You Need To Know

The new library is open and is holding an open house this weekend.

BALDWIN, PA - After several years of planning, fundraising and construction. the new Baldwin Borough Public Library is open. Here's what you need to know about the new facility:

  • The new address is 5230 Wolfe Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15236. The library is in the former Leland Center.
  • The phone number is the same: 412-885-2255.
  • The hours haven't changed. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Regarding parking, there are several spaces available in the lot in front of the library and additional parking is available in the rear of the building. On-street parking also is available, and library officials say patrons don't need to fear being tagged or towed.
  • The library is now a pick-up location, so patron cans put items on hold by phone or online.
  • The library will hold an open house on April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature kids crafts, face painting, raffle prizes, free Rita's Italian Ice, salty snacks provided by The Alden, the Bado's Pizza truck and Baldwin library bookmarks for a $1 donation.
