Project Clean Underwear

A Pittsburgh homeless shelter is in need of clean underwear and socks.

I read a post on a Pittsburgh Bloggers Facebook page about a homeless shelter located on the North Side of Pittsburgh—Light of Life Rescue Mission—being in need of clean underwear and socks. They have been out of these supplies for weeks now, but a single dollar—yes, $1—can buy a pair of socks or underwear.

A fundraiser has been created on CrowdRise by I heart PGH, and I am hoping that others will help out by donating to this worthwhile cause.

Please join us and help Light of Life help the homeless and less-fortunate.

HERE'S THE STORY: We just got an update from one of the other Pittsburgh bloggers who works for Light of Life—a homeless shelter located on the North Side. They are in desperate need of underwear and socks for the people that they serve. They have been out for weeks. One dollar ($1) can buy a pair of socks or underwear. Our goal is to raise $1,000 to help Light of Life restock its underwear and sock supply.
