Brentwood-Filmed Movie to Be Screened at Oakmont Theater This Month

The entire movie was shot at a house along Lawnview Avenue earlier this decade.

Though it's becoming increasingly common forΒ moviemakers to film scenesΒ in the Pittsburgh area, it's very odd that an entire movie is shot in just one locationβ€”and in this case, in just one house ... in Brentwood.

But that's exactly where the 2013 mystery-thrillerΒ Kultur Shock!Β was filmed over two years earlier this decade. Pretty muchΒ every scene in the filmβ€”"Ninety-nine percent," producer Eric Paul Chapman saidβ€”was captured at 423 Lawnwood Ave., just south of the north Baldwin Borough border.

The 85-minute independent movie, being billed as a science fiction inspired by The Twilight Zone, will have itsΒ local premiereΒ at The Oaks Theater in Oakmont BoroughΒ onΒ Sunday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m.Β Tickets cost $7 per general admission andΒ $5 per senior and student (with IDs).

You can contact The Oaks Theater atΒ 412-828-6322Β for more information. Click here for driving directions.
