South Hills Junior Orchestra Holiday Benefit Concert

The South Hills Junior Orchestra will perform at a benefit concert at Boyce Middle School in Upper St. Clair Township. The theme of the event is holiday music and giving, and the student members of the orchestra will conduct and play seasonal carols such as "Sleigh Ride," "Chanukah Celebration," "Joy to the World," "Deck the Halls" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." The concert is a fundraiser for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, the Upper St. Clair School District Fine and Performing Arts Department and, specifically, the Boyce/Upper St. Clair Theater. The organizing group is requesting that those who attend the concert bring food items as a donation to the food bank. In addition, monetary gifts will be used to help purchase a new piano for Boyce Middle School. The middle school would like to raise $6,000 for an upright piano for music performances.
