Help Fight Baldwin Crime With Police Video Doorbell Program

And get a discounted video doorbell while you're at it.

BALDWIN, PA - Here’s a chance to help fight crime in your neighborhood and also save money while doing so. The Baldwin Police Department, in conjunction with the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office, will provide discounted Ring video doorbells to Baldwin residents in exchange for videos taken by the devices that could be relevant to criminal investigations.

Ring video doorbells allow people to watch over their homes in high-definition video and see, hear and speak to visitors from anywhere. With instant mobile alerts and two-way talk capabilities, the video-shooting doorbells allow doors to be answered from smartphones, tablets and PCs.

The video doorbells are priced at $199, but participants in this program can get them for just $40. Residents have to install the device in a home in the borough, have WiFi access and have a smart device such as an iPhone or Android.
