Lehigh Valley Man Strangled Estranged Wife: Police

A 26-year-old Lehigh Valley woman was strangled to death by her husband after a domestic dispute, according to multiple reports

Jillian H. Rohrbaugh was found dead in her home after an argument Wednesday and her husband, Gordon H. Rohrbaugh of Whitehall Township, has been charged with her murder, the Allentown Morning Call reports.

According to 6ABC, police were called to the woman’s home on South Fifth Avenue for a report of a suspicious death. When they arrived, they found Jillian Rohrbaugh dead with an electrical wire wrapped around her neck, reports say. She also had a sock taped inside her mouth, 6ABC said.

The Allentown Morning Call reports that Rohrbaugh admitted killing his estranged wife and turned himself in 12:10 p.m. Thursday.
