Police Chase Ends In PA Deadly Crash Involving Infant On Thanksgiving Day

The crash involved multiple vehicles and killed three people.

A police chase on Thanksgiving Day led to a multi-vehicle crash that killed three and injured several others, according authorities and published reports.

The crash occurred in North Versailles, Allegheny County, after East McKeesport Police stopped a vehicle that ended up fleeing from police at about 2:17 p.m. Thursday, according to Allegheny County officials.

Police chased the vehicle for about two miles until it hit two other other cars, resulting in three deaths – a man, woman, and an infant – and five others being injured, according to Allegheny County officials and The Pittsburgh Post Gazette.

The vehicle with the man, woman, and child caught fire after being hit, then struck another vehicle with three female occupants, the Post Gazette reports.

The Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports police stopped the vehicle after it made and illegal turn and discovered the driver, Demetrius Coleman, 22, was wanted for probation violation.

Coleman is facing three counts of homicide, the outlet reports.
