What's going on in The South Hills this week:
Castle Shannon Fireman's Fair:Starting Monday July 29 to August 3. Games, rides and all kinds of yummy carnival food, including cotton candy, snow cones, cheese fries, nachos, funnel cakes and a whole lot more.
Discovery Days Slime Time:Whitehall Library, Tuesday July 30 @ 1:00pmLearn about slime and its basic ingredients in a series on hands-on activities. Create your own slime, then enter The Slime Olympics.
12 Dancing Princesses at The South Park Children's Theater:Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the show. Cost is $2.00 and you pay at the show.
Triple B Farm Peach Festival:August 3-4 from 10am-4pm. $5.00 play all day wristband/per person.Includes:Hay-ridesFarm playgroundFarm animalsRope mazeSlidesGiant Blowup obstacle coursePlus pick your own peaches 3 quantities/prices available. The Triple B food barn will be open serving up peach smoothies, peach funnel fries, peach donuts and more.
Trax Farm Kids' Camp:August 7,8,14 & 15Educational crafts and activities for children ages 5-9. *parents must stay on premises during Kids' Camp* Cost is $8 per child/per session reservations are required please call 412-835-3246 to reserve your spot. Morning session is 10am-11am and the afternoon session is 1pm-2pm.Aug. 7 Welcome to my garden:Create your own magical garden.Aug.8 Old-fashioned fun at the farm:Tractor pulled hay-ride with a stop to play some old fashioned games.Aug. 14 Bugs, Bugs, Everywhere!:Make a fun bug jar and race a worm.Aug. 15 Working on the farm:They will show the kids how the farm works with a tractor pulled hay-ride with educational stops along the way. There is always Roundhill Farm. It's free and fun for the kids. Pack your own picnic lunch and head out to see the farm animals and the kids can pet them too. They also have the children's park and the spray park to cool off. My kids love going there.
