We have turned in the petition, we have showed up in large numbers. But, still we have not heard anything about eliminating the position of "Supervisor of Projects for the Board of School Directors and Special Assistant to the Superintendent". Will the board publish the job description and an explanation of why it feels this position is needed? Will the board address the public in a more respectful way, a start is to have the venue changed so that the board and the public can be in the same room for the meeting. I hope the board doesn't show the same disrespect for the public as it need previously. Please keep the safety of the public and staff in mind and move the meeting.
I don't expect to be lectured from someone about this, if "he gets it", the why doesn't he issue an apology that the way they went about this was wrong. Then go about and describe the position and publish the job description and ask for public comments. I don't think the position is needed, I also think that the board has to make a strong effort at rebuilding the trust with the community.
What will they do? They know we will be there again in large numbers, will the listen to the voters?
