Unsolved Cases: Dominick Brown-Hill

The 21-year-old from Penn Hills has been missing since March 22.

Sometimes, you repeatedly cross paths with people, not knowing their names but still exchanging a nod or pleasantries as you pass.

For Nancy Monahan, who runs the Pennsylvania Missing Persons website, Dominick Brown-Hill was one of those people. She remembers saying "hello" to him on occasion as he walked near her Penn Hills home.

And then, he vanished.

"Boy, it just makes you think—a stranger you might see is suddenly gone," Monahan said.

Brown-Hill was last seen on Thursday, March 22, on Althea Drive in Penn Hills, not far from a home where he had been staying. At about 5 or 6 p.m. the next day, he called the home's owner—a friend's grandmother—to say that he would be coming back that evening.

But he never showed up.

. His cellphone has been shut off. Family and friends told police that it is unlike him to be gone so long without being in touch. Police have not found any evidence to indicate that Brown-Hill might have been harmed.

Brown-Hill is 21 years old, 6 feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He has black/brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing black basketball shorts, a Detroit Red Wings ball cap, gray-and-white sneakers and a red Nike shirt with "Just Do It" written on the back.

WPXI reported in April that Brown-Hill's family is offering a $3,000 reward for information regarding his whereabouts. Monahan said, following a tip, that a search was conducted in the vicinity of Reservoir Drive in Pittsburgh's Highland Park neighborhood on April 11, but nothing came of it.

Anyone with information concerning Brown-Hill is asked to call the Penn Hills Police Department at 412-798-2035.
