Who needs to see this movie?

If you have children – especially teens or young adults – you most definitely should see this movie!

Miss Representation exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. The film challenges the media’s limited and often disparaging portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful. Miss Representation includes stories from teenage girls and provocative interviews with politicians, journalists, entertainers, activists, and academics.

Why are we showing it again?

We heard you! At the May screening, you told us that it should be shown in all parts of Pittsburgh. In May, we were in the west, and for October, we will be in the north. Stay tuned for future dates, and give us your suggestions for other locations.

Sponsorship Opportunities are Available!

Our mission is to create awareness of issues for the betterment of women, and we are looking for support from local businesses with like-minded values to help us to reach those women. We are especially passionate about providing a positive influence to young people who are constantly bombarded by derogatory messages of media in general--especially social media.

Businesses who are partnered with us through sponsorship will benefit from this marketing opportunity. Your business will be connected to our audience as potential customers. We expect an audience of up to 300 people, ranging in age from late teen and up, many who are women in business and in education.

Please Forward!

Please help us to get the word out to others. Share this message and our Facebook and Twitter accounts with your network of friends.
