"Reach is amazing. It's a very student-centered school," David's mother Ronya says in the commercial. "Reach was a good match for David because "they gave him a chance to be David."

David returns a second time to state that he was "able to accelerate because he knew the material" and that Reach was always there to answer his questions so he could "understand and move on."

"Reach your potential," David says near the commercial's conclusion.

Ronya told Patch this week that it was an honor for David to be involved with the commercial.

She also said the family was nominated for a Legacy Award from the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools. They were one of the semifinalists.

Regarding the commercial appearance, his mother said that David doesn't consider it a big deal.

"He doesn't think of himself as a star," she said. "He is doing his thing and that is all."
