Lane Closures For Route 1 Ramp, Bridge Construction

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The Route 1 improvement project continues this week with PennDOT changing traffic patterns to open a new northbound ramp and performing other construction on Old Lincoln Highway and Rockhill Drive in Bensalem and Middletown townships.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that roadway paving and traffic realignment are scheduled through Friday on Old Lincoln Highway and Rockhill Drive under a project to reconstruct, widen and improve Route 1 in Bensalem and Middletown townships.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.

PennDOT is reconstructing and widening U.S. 1, improving the interchanges, and constructing new bridges from the Turnpike Interchange in Bensalem Township to the north of the Penndel/Business Route 1 in Middletown Township under the $113.5 million Section RC2 contract.
