Nearly 7 miles of Rt. 13 in Bensalem and Bristol townships will be repaved in a project that starts March 23. Lane restrictions are planned.

Construction to resurface nearly seven miles of Rt. 13 will start March 23, PennDOT announced Thursday. Weekday lane restrictions can be expected.

The $3 million project will resurface 6.7 miles of Rt. 13 between the Philadelphia County line and Rt. 413 in Bensalem and Bristol townships. The project is scheduled to be completed in summer 2017, PennDOT estimates.

Beginning Thursday, March 23 through Thursday, March 30, there will weekday lane restrictions from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Rt. 13 between Rt. 413 and Newportville Road in Bristol Township. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone. Additional lane restrictions will be reported once announced by PennDOT.
