4 New Full-Time Firefighters Hired In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Four new full-time firefighters have joined the Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department.

The Bensalem Fire Rescue Department said the addition of the four new career firefighters was funded through a Federal “Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response” (SAFER) Grant.

The grant allows the department to enhance staffing levels while maintaining compliance with state and federal safety standards.

The firefighters were sworn in by Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo and Public Safety Director William McVey.

The Bensalem Fire Rescue Department said the hiring of the firefighters will strengthen daily operations, improve emergency response capabilities, and help ensure adequate staffing for fire suppression, rescue, and emergency incidents throughout the community.
