4 Retail Thefts Under Investigation In Bensalem

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Bensalem Township Police Department is investigating four separate retail thefts over the past few weeks, including two at Kohl's.

Bensalem Police are investigating a retail theft at the Home Depot located at 1336 Bristol Pike last Saturday.

Around 2 p.m., it was reported that a Hispanic man entered the store with a shopping cart and began selecting numerous power tools.

Police said he stole more than $2,000 worth of DeWalt, Milwaukee, Husky, Bosch and Makita merchandise.

He fled in a gray Ford Taurus without paying for the merchandise.

These are the other retail thefts:

• Police are investigating a retail theft at Lowes, located at 3421 Horizon Blvd., at 4 p.m. on Aug. 5. It was reported that a black man entered the store with a black tote bag and stole a double pack of Kobalt batteries and two Dewalt power flashlights. He concealed the merchandise in the tote bag and fled the area on foot without paying. The total amount stolen was $436.
• Police are investigating a retail theft at Kohl's located at 2325 Street Rd., on July 27 at 5:30 p.m. It was reported that three Hispanic men entered the store and selected multiple fragrance items from the store's Sephora section. The merchandise was valued at $500.
• Police are investigating a retail theft at Kohls located at 2325 Street Rd., on July 29 at 2:20 p.m. Police said two white women entered the store, selected a piece of luggage, and began filling it with clothing. They then fled the area in a silver Ford Escape without paying for the merchandise. The total amount stolen was $351.57.
