In January of 2024, Bensalem Police received information regarding a Snapchat account that was sexually extorting a 15-year-old girl.

Through investigation, it was determined that the creator and user of the account in question, “jack_goodric,” was a 21-year-old Bensalem resident Jonathan Brodecki, police said.

Brodecki had been utilizing this Snapchat account to impersonate a middle-school or early high-school-aged boy.

He then was able to convince the 15-year-old girl to send him sexually explicit photos and videos, as she believed he was her age, police said.

When the 15-year-old victim attempted to break off contact with Brodecki, he threatened to post the explicit images of her publicly, police said.

Upon further investigating this “jack_goodric” Snapchat account, Bensalem detectives identified eight other victims. These victims were all female, from ages 12 to 15.

In all instances, Brodecki would “add” these girls on Snapchat and represent himself as a teenager, sometimes 13, 14, or 15, police said.

He would then request that the girls produce and send him sexually explicit images, which many of the victims did.

Brodecki also sent sexually explicit images to multiple victims, police said.

At least one other victim, a 13-year-old girl, was sexually extorted by Brodecki, who threatened to find her and rape her, as well as publicly post explicit images of her.

A search warrant was executed at Brodecki’s residence in March.

During the search, multiple electronic devices were seized. After a forensic examination of those devices, it was discovered that Brodecki had also been using a fictional Instagram persona account for the same illegal purposes as the fictional Snapchat persona. Police believe additional juvenile victims exist who have not been identified.

Brodecki was charged with Sexual Abuse of Children, Sexual Extortion and Distribution of Images, Sexual Abuse of Children/Possession of Child Pornography, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Obscene and Other Sexual Materials and Performance/Dissemination to Minors, the corruption of minors, Terroristic Threats, Stalking, and the Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.

District Justice Joseph Falcone arraigned Jonathan Brodecki and remanded him to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $5 million bail.

Anyone who recalls having contact with “jack_goodric” and other similar usernames on either Snapchat or Instagram is urged to contact Detective Ryan Kolb of the Bensalem Township Police Department at (215)-633-3746.
