LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A New York man has pleaded guilty to five bank robberies he committed in 2024 throughout the Philadelphia region, authorities said.
Marc Masich, 47, of Amherst, N.Y., entered pleas last week to six counts of robbery, pleading guilty to five crimes and nolo contendere to one robbery, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.
Masich has not been sentenced, said Manuel Gamiz Jr., director of communications with the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities said Masich was involved in the robberies of the TD Bank and Santander Bank on Street Road and the PNC Bank on Hulmeville Road in Bensalem, police said.
Authorities said his other robberies were of the Santander Bank in Middletown Township, the Santander Bank in Montgomery Township, and the Truist Bank in Newtown Square.
In the Bensalem bank robberies, Masich would walk into a bank, wearing a black surgical face mask and hand the teller a demand note, authorities said.
In one incident, the teller emptied the drawer and handed Masich about $4,000 in cash, police said.
Masich was charged with numerous felonies, including robbery, robbery of a financial institution, terrorist threats, and related offenses.
He was arraigned by District Justice Frank Peranteau and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $500,000 bail.
