BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the theft of a fully loaded Amazon tractor-trailer that broke down on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
State Police are asking the public to help identify those involved in the incident which happened on May 24.
Two days earlier, the Amazon truck broke down on the PA Turnpike and was towed for repairs. But State Police said the trailer filled with packages awaiting delivery was stolen.
This past week, State Police said that Amazon used GPS data to help locate the trailer in Slatington in Lehigh Valley.
State Police identified the trailer as a 2019 blue Vanguard National Trailer Corp. trailer with the Amazon logo and registration number V39752.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the trailer traveling between May 22 and May 24 to contact them.
State Troopers are also asking anyone who may have information about who stole the trailer or who may have left it in Slatington.
