Bensalem K9 Helps In $6M Drug Bust Investigation

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A police K9 helped in a long-term investigation that led to a major drug bust of about $6 million.

The Bensalem Township Police Department said that K9 Moose and his handler, Detective Jack Gohl, were involved in the drug bust recently with members of the DEA Philadelphia Field Office Task Force.

Along with the FBI, the Philadelphia Police Department, and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, they participated in an investigation that resulted in the seizure of several kilograms of Fentanyl and cocaine with an estimated street value of about $6 million.

"This investigation highlights the importance of interagency cooperation and the dedication of law enforcement agencies working together to combat the drug epidemic impacting our communities," the police department said.

Police said the investigation lasted for over eight months.
