$1M In Funding Coming To Upgrade Bensalem Administration Building

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Bensalem Township Administration Building needs a new solar panel system.

State Sen. Frank Farry has secured $1 million in funding for the energy efficiency project that will replace and upgrade the building's existing roof-mounted solar panel system.

The project includes demolition and disposal of the current system and the installation of new solar panels and supporting infrastructure to improve energy efficiency.

The funding was awarded through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, which is administered by the Pennsylvania Office of the Budget and provides grants for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.

RACP projects are intended to have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact while generating or sustaining economic activity, employment and tax revenue.

"Every one of these projects will make a meaningful difference in Bucks County,” Farry said. “This funding will help communities move forward with long-planned improvements that will better serve residents now and well into the future."
