BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — The township will become home to a company that specializes in building weapons for the military.
Attalon Inc. has announced that it will spend $30 million to set up its national headquarters in an 80,000-square-foot facility in Trevose.
The company is expected to add 100 more jobs over the next decade with the move and increase its weapons production, officials said.
The company will renovate the building into a factory and corporate headquarters that will more than quadruple the company's U.S. production of protective coatings for guided missiles.
Construction will start this summer, with a completion date sometime in the spring of 2027.

The facility will include 60,000 square feet of high-tech manufacturing space and the in-house growth of potassium nickel sulfate, calcium fluoride and UV glasses.
Those materials are used to manufacture a wide range of optical and infrared components that are used in munitions and defense platforms.
