Bensalem Kicks Off New School Year: Photos

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Students returned to classes to start the 2026-2027 school year — with an assist from the township's police department.

Members of the Bensalem Township Police Department, and fire and EMS personnel welcomed students back to school on Monday.

K-9 Asko also was on hand to greet students and help start the new school year.

The school district said that the township's First Responders helped make the first day of the new school year extra special.

"The Bensalem Department of Public Safety is proud of its strong partnership with our community and schools," the police department said. "We wish all students, teachers, staff members, and families a safe, successful, and enjoyable school year."
