BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A New Jersey resident who sought sex with a township teenage girl was taken into custody on Thursday and is also subject to an ICE detainer, police said.
Bensalem Police had issued an arrest warrant on Aug. 25 for Jose Adolfo Samayoa-Ortiz, 51, of Plainfield, N.J., on multiple counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor (F1), Sexual Abuse of a Child (F2), Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (F3), and other related offenses.
On Thursday, the U.S. Marshals Service located and apprehended Samayoa-Ortiz.
Samayoa-Ortiz is currently being held in Union County, N.J., awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
He is also subject to a detainer issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Police said Samayoa-Ortiz began communicating with a 13-year-old girl through a dating/social media application in November 2025.
Despite knowing her age, Samayoa-Ortiz turned the conversations toward romantic and sexually explicit topics, expressing his desire to engage in sexual intercourse with her, police said.
Police said that over the next several months, Samayoa-Ortiz sent the juvenile sexually explicit photographs of himself and requested that she provide photographs in return.
But before he could meet the girl, Samayoa-Ortiz was arrested by the Mercer County (NJ) Prosecutor's Office in connection with a similar investigation, which led to a charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
