Arson Determined For Bensalem Apartment Fire: FD

Bensalem Township crews responded to a fire at the Hamilton Court Apartments Saturday afternoon.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —A fire in a Hamilton Court apartment Saturday afternoon was intentionally set, authorities said.

The Nottingham Fire Department responded to the report of a fire at the Hamilton Court Apartments complex on Street Road on Saturday.

Fire crews found fire on a stairwell to a 2nd-floor apartment. An occupant was rescued from an apartment, fire officials said.

The bulk of the fire was quickly knocked down by firefighters with Engine 65, Rescue 4, Ladder 65, and Tower 16 involved.

Bensalem fire and police investigators were on the scene.

Battalion Chief Robert Sponheimer determined the fire was intentionally set and a case of arson.

The occupant was transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation, he said.
