Assistant Principal Named For 2 Bensalem Schools
Borislav Ben begins his tenure as assistant principal at the Belmont Hills and Cornwells elementary schools.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —There's a new assistant principal at Belmont Hills and Cornwells elementary schools.
At its Aug. 7 meeting, the Bensalem Township Board of School Directors approved the appointment of Borislav Ben to that position.
Ben began his career in education as a fifth-grade teacher at Anne Frank Elementary School in the School District of Philadelphia.

He taught a Russian-English dual-languagelanguage classroom with an emphasis on developing students’ cross-cultural and cross-linguistic competence.
He has held various positions such as curriculum writer and principal intern. He served most recently as assistant principal at the John Marshall School.

Ben earned his bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special
Education from Temple University and his Master of Science in Education from the
University of Pennsylvania.
“I look forward to coming home to Bensalem, joining the leadership team, and being in
service to the students, parents, teachers, and staff of the Bensalem community,” Ben said.
Meanwhile, Bensalem Township High School also has a new leader at the helm to start the school year.
At its Feb. 27 meeting, the Bensalem Township Board of School Directors approved the appointment of Geoffrey Per to the position of high school acting principal, effective April 10.
Per replaced Frank Flanagan, who resigned. In May, Per was named principal of Bensalem High School, effective May 29.
Per’s education includes his principals’ certificate and Masters of Education from Cabrini University, his teaching certificate and Masters of Education from Holy Family University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics from Bloomsburg University.
He began his career in education at Bensalem High School in 2003 and has served in a variety of roles including teacher, assistant principal, athletic director, and MTSS coordinator K-12.
His extensive background coaching high school sports has enabled him to develop a positive rapport with both students and parents, school officials said.
