Bald Eagle Found Injured In Bensalem Township
The eagle was found near an apartment complex Thursday and taken to a wildlife center in Chalfont for care.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —It was supposed to be a bird call.
But this wasn't an ordinary bird. This was a Bald Eagle.
Bensalem Township Police's animal control officer responded to the report of an injured bird near The Courtyards of Bensalem apartment complex on Thursday.

The injured bird turned out to be a bald eagle. The officer was able to safely capture the eagle that appeared to be suffering from an unknown injury.
The eagle was transported to The Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center in Chalfont.

There, it will receive an examination and treatment for any injuries or diseases.
"Bensalem Police would like to thank the residents who contacted us and for the hard work and dedication of organizations like The Aark who care for injured and sick wildlife," police said.
