Bensalem Gets A Dose of 'Bad Medicine'
Bon Jovi tribute band rocks the TD Bank Ampitheater.
The year was 1988. Huge hair, loud music, and drives to the Jersey shore seemed to be the way of life. Add all of those aspects together, and you got yourself a band that has been entertaining crowds during four different decades. Sporting hair that was as large as their influence, playing music loud enough for the world to hear, and coming straight out of the Jersey shore, Bon Jovi quickly became (and still is) one of the worlds most successful bands.
While Bensalem didn't get the real Bon Jovi, we got the next best thing, as the tribute band "Bad Medicine" rolled into town tonight.
Although the temperatures flirted with 100 degrees, the crowd came out in full force.

The band covered Bon Jovi songs spanning from their first cd, all the way to their most current. They kicked of the night with the more recent "Lost Highway", which got the crowd in the singing and dancing mood real quick. It didn't take long for them to start blasting out legendary Bon Jovi tunes such as "You Give Love A Bad Name", "Who Says You Can't Go Home", and "Blood on Blood". About halfway through the set, things got a little more "western" as they broke out the cowboy anthems "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Blaze of Glory". After closing the first set with "Living On A Prayer", the band took a quick break that only lasted a minute thanks to the encore-wanting crowd. After a slow song or two, and finally finishing off the night with "Wild In The Streets", the band thanked everybody one last time and vanished backstage.
The night consisted of a big 50/50 winner, the lead singer taking a tour throughout the crowd mid-song, and everybody have a rocking time despite the blistering heat. If you missed this show, you missed a good one. Just make sure that if they ever come back to town, you get your dose of "Bad Medicine."
