Bensalem High To Host Film Festival

The Ryan K. Wilson Memorial OTN Film Festival showcases student work and proceeds benefit the club and a scholarship.

BENSALEM, PA — Bensalem High School students who are into film will be showcasing their talents at an upcoming film festival.

The school's Owls Television Network (OTN) will be hosting its annual Ryan K. Wilson Memorial OTN Film Festival on Tuesday, April 9, at the high school.

The festival is a competition open to all Bensalem students who enjoy acting in, directing and editing their own independent films. Organizers say a wide range of genres and a great deal of talent are represented in this year's finalists.

Doors for the festival open at 6 p.m. at the school's auditorium, at 4319 Hulmeville Rd. in Bensalem. Films will begin at 6:30 p.m. sharp.

Tickets for the festival are $5 at the door and proceeds will benefit Owls Television Network, with a portion going to the Ryan K. Wilson Memorial Scholarship.

Wilson, a 2004 BHS graduate, was an Owls Television Network member who passed away in 2007. His family created the scholarship in his memory. It is awarded to OTN members who share Wilson's love for film.
