Bensalem SD Students Collect Candy For Troops Overseas

Eleven boxes and 175 lbs of candy will surely make our military members happy!

Two Bensalem Township School District schools had students who gathered some sweet treats for our servicemen and women who are serving overseas.

The The Kiwanis K-Kids Club of Belmont Hills and Cornwells Elementary collected a huge amount of candy to give our military members a taste of home.

The kids from Belmont Hills collected 11 boxes of candy and the kids at Cornwells collected 175 lbs of candy.

All the candy collected was donated to Operation Gratitude U.S. Troops. The candy was then delivered to Fort Dixx in New Jersey to be sent overseas to our troops.

Great job, kids. Our military men and women will surely enjoy a taste of home while serving our country.
